How Matterport Scanning Works

1 An investigator arrives on-scene with a Matterport Pro camera, which captures 360° imagery and lidar depth data from multiple positions throughout the structure.
2 Matterport's platform automatically stitches the captures into a fully navigable 3D model — including a "dollhouse" overhead view, floor plan, and measured walkthrough mode.
3 The completed scan is hosted securely online and can be embedded directly on our website or shared via a private link to authorized parties on your case.
4 Investigators can add labeled tags to highlight areas of origin, evidence collection points, burn patterns, and other findings directly within the model.
